Are you a bystander?

Have you ever been faced with a situation where you see someone falling down and getting hurt? Have you ever noticed that you may have readily helped the person when no one is around but were hesitant to help in the presence of people?

This happens as a result of “bystander effect”.

People are less likely to help someone when there are other people around.

In a group of people, we seem to assume that someone else will come forward and take action. But since almost everyone has the same thought, no one comes forward.

This particular phenomena can be pretty dangerous. As the number of bystanders increases, the less likely someone is going to go and help the one in need!

Be the change and don’t hesitate to go help someone in need even if people are around! If you see someone being bullied, stand up against it and go offer them a hand.
